RV Bedroom Storage Solutions from IKEA!
Grab a mocktail because we are going to tackle those head scratcher bedroom storage spaces and have fun while doing it! But we need to have a clear head :)
So...the tiny bedroom in an RV. Usually it is a stuff and go kind of thing for us! We are full-time workers and many of our trips are heading out after the work week on a Friday weekend warrior style.
This year it is on my list to organize and smartly utilize the space we have available! Navigating around the bedroom area of our camper...you know....you know! It is the shuffle shimmy dance and throw everything on the bed but it was really in the closet kind of game! Even so it is part of camping and I am going to show you my IKEA storage wishlist to create calm where there is chaos!
Speaking of IKEA...I must say before proceeding...I have a serious love addiction with the place. Aunt IKEA solves all my problems...seriously. I mean 1. you save money 2. pretty things with funny names 3. live plants and 3. Organize haven! Need I say more? It's a big happy deal in my world!
Under the Bed Storage
The people eater chest under the bed. It is a wrestle to keep it open and get the things I need in or out there. I literally lift it up, hold the lid with my hip and throw in the blankets as fast as I can! It is the largest storage space inside the camper; though, so we have to make good use of it right?
Typically we keep our extra blankets, sheets and sometimes towels in this area. I love this Sockerbit Storage with lid for under the bed. The lid hinges for easy access and protects the linens. Plus l love that you can stack it! At $12.99 a few of these should fit perfectly under the bed to maximize space and keep like things together! LOVE! And we've only just begun!
Side Closets
His and hers, mine and yours. The side closets are pretty narrow but go pretty far back! Do you throw your bag in and live from that? Do you hang your clothes? What do you do with this deep vertical box? Enter the SKUBB (do we not love these random Swedish names :) At only $4.99 (score) this will rock my closet! I plan to use each pocket for a different outfit; fold them together and viola grab and go for your next adventure! Another option to consider is the SKUBB 6 Compartment Hanging Storage. If you are more into a flat fold this will fit great and it is only $6.99...yes!! Even if the SKUBB has too many compartments they fold up so it should work great!
Now I have included the...you guessed it SKUBB set of 6 fabric storage bins as well! What I love about these is they fit into each other. Stick a few in the shelves of the hanging storage or fit some in the larger container to great sub-divided compartments! Yeah!

Just to finish off this SKUBB party with a bang we will wrap up with the SKUBB Box with compartments! I plan to use this guy on the bottom of our closets for extra throw and go! Maybe belts, wallets, and ahem unmentionables. Whatever smaller things you want close by! Lovely!

Over the Bed Storage
I love these little cubbies and utilize them already with cute little bins from the Target Bullseye aisle (another favorite place to find camping goodies). We can still do more here! Another SKUBB! These stackable shoe bins are great for shoes and organizing pajamas and such. I kind of dig the mech flaps to see what you have inside and for a 4 pack at $7.99 it is a bargain!
At the beginning of the season I pack a few extra outfits, jammies, socks, hiking shoes and underwear that live in the camper for those just in case and you never know moments! Whether you forget to pack pajamas or you slide in the mud on a hike; it is reassuring to know you have backups! These shoe bins are just the trick to give these extras a home!

The Extras
A few little added things on my list to grab on the next IKEA trip! A collapsible hamper and laundry bag! We have one but these are so cheap and can be used for so many things!
What about packing cubes? I bet these would be great to grab straight from the luggage and put into storage! Yep! Add it to the cart! I also love having these on hand for a spare set of clothes for a day outing!
Last but not least hooks! This is a great debate and certainly something all campers grapple with. To add hooks or to not? Everyone knows hooks are awesome for organizing but man I don't want the adhesive tearing the paper thin walls and we don't want holes either! I am willing to try these out though. They are $.99 for a pack a three; I'll give them a whirl! Lightweight but sturdy and hopefully will help with hats, jewelry (if you have them) or other nice things!
So there we go campers!
Project bedroom organization complete! What else do you store in your rolling suite? I would love to hear your suggestions! Drop us a comment and let's help each other bust the bedroom clutter once and for all! Happy Camping (and organizing). Tell IKEA I said hi and I miss them...I will be there soon!
